With our combined experience, there is a very good chance that we’ve already seen just about anything that comes through the door. If not, we also enjoy the process of applying established principles to new or unusual conditions.

Thomas has been engineering since 1987, and a registered Engineer in Washington State, since 1992. His structural engineering experience includes design of schools K-12, retail facilities, residential, multifamily housing, and design and renovation of existing structures. Thomas is practiced in design problem solving as well as construction observation and field solutions during construction.
Beyond helping make buildings stand up, he enjoys a little stand-up humor around the coffee maker with quips like, “The pessimist says, 'The glass is half full.' The optimist says, 'it's half empty,' but the engineer says, 'The glass is twice as big as it needs to be.'” Okay then - Don’t get him started.

Martin is a registered Structural Engineer originally from the San Joaquin Valley of Central California and is a graduate of Cal Poly in San Luis Obispo, CA. After beginning his career in San Francisco, he and his wife decided to pack up the family with their two young boys and head for the Northwest in 2001. They have all been loving that decision ever since!
The bulk of Martin’s experience is in medium to large commercial projects with an emphasis in multi-story steel and concrete structures. In particular, he has extensive experience in post-tensioned concrete design with over 4 million square feet in service so far!
